Karen Safarik has been certified Physician Assistant since 2005, starting her career in Thoracic Surgery. Karen has also worked in Internal Medicine/Urgent Care and is currently working in Aesthetic Medicine of laser hair removal and injectables. After working as an EMT in a level one trauma center, she aspired to work in critical care as a PA. Although, after spending a month in Guatemala working in women's health clinics and brushing up on her Spanish, Karen has a much grander vision for herself and her contribution to this world. Karen has begun her education in other areas she believes are lacking from the average Women's Clinic. She is very close to becoming a certified Life Coach, and has refined her skills in Aesthetic Medicine. Karen aspires to bring all of this to Women's Healthcare. Karen is passionate about inspiring people to feel and be beautiful and well from the inside out- spiritually, emotionally, and physically. She will have a voice through her personal growth blog, in the clinic which I work, and through seminars geered for Adolescents. "Our youth are our future and teach us more than we realize in the present. Hopefully one day I will find an OB/GYN with whom I can travel to Central America to educate women about their health. To be a mentor of health I must live it. I love to eat healthy and find new healthy recipes to have fun nurturing my body. I practice Yoga, running on the beach, and working out in the gym. I feed my soul through dancing: from ballet to hip-hop to salsa. I also feed my soul through chanting as a I practice Nichiren Buddhism. I usually am reading any new book out there to broaden my perspective on life or learn a new way of applying health and wellness." As BalanceBoost's Personal Growth and Health Blogger, Karen shares her experiences and work with Personal Growth, Personal Development, Life Coaching, Change and Transformation with our readers and professionals themselves.
